As you all already know, we at FB&F watch The City, we loved her S/S 2010 collection, we think her clothes look chic in any setting.... She is an incredibly accomplished, talented, smart woman who is still leading the way in fashion (36 years after debuting her infamous jersey wrap dress) while also mentoring young standout talent like Alexander Wang. I guess you could say we at FB&F adore Diane von Furstenburg in a major way!
The girls at Fashionista were lucky enough to hear Diane von Furstenburg speak yesterday at Teen Vogue's Fashion University and posted the highlights of her advice-filled speech on their site here. Definitely check it out today if you have the time.
My favorite highlight is "She (Diane) takes pride in understanding women. Diane believes that clothes should be like close friends: 'When you’re standing in front of the closet in the morning, and you feel like shit, you should go for the reliable one that makes you feel good.'"
