Rachel Rachel Roy

Designer Rachel Roy has a new diffusion line "Rachel Rachel Roy" available on her new website as well as Macy's. I cannot claim to be a big Rachel Roy fan, so was pleasantly surprised by how many of the items in her diffusion line I couldn't wait to snap up! The pieces are made from fabrics that you actually wouldn't mind having close to your body, are current, interesting, and wearable, and
almost everything is under $100!

First I checked out the dresses, and not only did I find solid color dresses in almost any shape (A-line, bubble, tank, body-con) I found some great printed dresses that will transition beautifully into fall with tights and boots....oh and all of them were $100 and under!

Then I checked out tops and believe me that the four featured here are a teeny percentage of everything on RachelRoy.com. There are tanks,
blouses, vests, sweaters, jackets in many different fabrics, shapes and colors. I picked four that I thought would fit into my wardrobe nicely but also at an element of toughness that I am lacking at the moment - that studded cardigan would definitely beat my usual J. Crew cardigans in a schoolyard brawl.

I am always hesitant of buying jeans from a diffusion line, but if you are not then definitely check out Rachel Roy's because she had a ton of styles. I would stick with mini skirts like this cute crocodile one or patterned mini with pockets, but I would take a chance on these slim fitting black pants with front zipper pockets - very chic.

Ok, so I know I said almost everything is under $100, so I tried to limit my splurges to these two items. I LOVE the silver wrap front jumpsuit for $139, and although I'm not sure I could pull it off I am drawn to the Graffiti print trench coat. This is actually something really amazing for a diffusion line because each coat is one-of-a-kind. Famous NY tag artist SenOne will work on each trench to make it truly individual!

The jewelry didn't seem to work for me, lots of pieces that had Rachel's name and/or logo on it (could be influenced by her ex-husband hip-hop mogul Damon Dash), but there were a couple of purses and shoes that caught my eye. I could definitely see that foldover studded clutch fitting nicely into my wardrobe, and what a nice way to perk up a boring work outfit by trading in my canvas tote for a Rachel Roy sequined one.
