Style Source: Giovanna Battaglia

This is probably not the first time you're seeing L'Uomo Vogue editor and former Dolce and Gabbana house and runway model Giovanna Battaglia. She is a darling of Scott, Garance, Tommy and all of the usual suspects. Likewise, she is one of my favorites. The Italian beauty is oft photographed and always looking spot on.

Giovanna seamlessly combines elegant, classic looks with slightly off-kilter originality. Sometimes that comes in the form of an over the knee boot or bright yellow pant tempered with a ladylike fur, demure black tights or simple gray turtleneck sweater.

It's also refreshing to see that the fashion powerhouse repeats (gasp!) certain items. Her aforementioned Chanel boots, structured bags by Sara Battaglia (yes, that's her sister), long gloves (whether fingerless or leather) and many other staples are on regular, yet inspirational, rotation.

Here are some ways to get the Gio look - think cropped or menswear inspired trousers, oxfords, a great peep-toe (go classic or try a bootie), turtlenecks in dark neutrals, a touch of bright color, tortoiseshell sunnies, long medallions, black tights, silk scarves, gloves...and of course a great center part!
